First Things First

The assembly instructions are easy to follow. The box doesn’t contain the required tools to put this together. Assembly takes under an hour. Read the instructions carefully so you won’t have to take the chair apart and repeat the steps.

The bolts that hold the frame together are the same color as the frame. This gives the chair a bolt-free look. This gives this beautiful wooden chair a polished appearance.

The cushions were on the harder side at first. It would take a few weeks of breaking in to get just the right firmess. That being said, the cushions are firm in a good way. They are more supportive than pillow-like. That says a lot about their durability. I imagine they would last longer and retain their original form than soft cushions would. Cushions soften over time so this is something you should consider when looking for a cushioned seat. If you do find the cushions too firm for your liking, you can get a pillow for added comfort.

You will find many similar chairs in furniture stores but they cost so much more. For a similar design and construction, it’s not a smart move to go for something more expensive. It pays to do your research beforehand.

Comfort

The chair is well-designed. The angle of the back is just right. You can lean back comfortably and get good back support. If you need lumbar support then a small pillow would help. The seat is deep and this allows you to just sit back and relax.

As shown in the pictures, the Sorrento chair is wide. You can cross your legs without hitting either side of the armrest. You can also put your feet up on the seat as there is plenty of space. Two kids could fit side by side.

The chair is a little low to the ground. The height is perfect for lounging. The wide and deep seat plus the tilt of the back all make this great for lounging. As it’s a bit low, this may not be the best chair for an elderly who may have a hard time getting in and out of the seat.

Design

The upholstered chair has a retro design. It has a classic look so it would make a beautiful chair at home or in the office. It would make a good chair for a sitting area. It would also go great in the living room as a reading chair. Anyone who likes to read would love the armrests.

The button tufting is a beautiful addition. This tiny detail makes all the difference. It is reminiscent of traditional furniture without looking outdated. The splayed legs are also something you would usually see in older furniture. If you like vintage furniture then this is a good piece to purchase. The wooden frame is light brown and this creates a nice contrast against the grey upholstery.

The piping on the edges of the cushions make the chair look more professional. I’m sure many would agree that piped edges give furniture a more expensive look. This lounge chair looks a lot expensive than it is.

The fabric has a pleasant texture to it. It is a good material that could withstand wear and tear. I know pictures don’t get to show how the upholstery feels against your skin or how it would hold up with use, but this won’t disappoint.

The rubberwood frame is stable. Rubberwood is a solid wood that holds up well to daily use. Wobbling is not an issue as long as it’s on a flat floor. Otherwise, it won’t be a susprise if it wobbled. The finishing is impressive. It is glossy and smooth to the touch.
